Video, 3’
Soundtrack: Benjamin Morando
Édition de 5 + 2 E.A.

The film is a little sadistic, as its aim is to remove the "full view" of the film, reversing the advertising slogan   "Gimme more !" for the Cinemascope format. The sound is a long whistling. The original film is an orientalist peplum called The New Adventures of Ali Baba, typical of the cinemascope genre movies with many extras, wide shots and muscle-bound male torsos. The film's image slowly shrinks until it becomes a narrow band and disappears completely.

The invention of the Cinemascope process is related to a neuro-scientific theory about visual perception: A.O. vision (Action Oriented), the most primitive form of vision, also called "territorial supervision", is a horizontal vision, whereas semantic vision, or P.O. vision (Perception Oriented) is centered. 1The Cinemascope process makes large images, but its film support has a standard size: the image is actually compressed on the film and then enlarged by the projector. The artist has extended this anamorphic process throughout the trailer so that the progressive shrinkage reorganizes the cinemascope vertically…. until it disappears.
